Dear Parents/Guardians:

Welcome to the start of exciting year of learning and achievement in third grade.  As the class teacher, I am happy to take this opportunity to introduce myself and share my goals for this academic year 2008-2009.

 I believe that every student has the ability to make a valuable contribution to the learning experience.  My goal is to create a classroom environment in which each student has an equal opportunity to experience and embrace success.  Each student is encouraged to work to his or her fullest potential.

 Our class will be involved in a number of cooperative learning projects where your child will learn both academic and social skills by working constructively and cooperatively with their peers.

 As we explore themes ad concepts across the curriculum, your child will also be provided with homework, projects, and assignments.  Pleases encourage him or her to complete and return all work assigned, which should be signed by a parent or guardian on a daily basis.
